Police launch murder enquiry
Police were called at approximately 8am this morning (10 December) to reports of the body of a man found at Windmill Business Centre on Riverside Road.
Police and LAS attended and the man, believed to be in his mid-50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had suffered injuries believed to be stab wounds.
Police believe they know the identity of the deceased but await formal identification and confirmation that all next of kin have been informed. A post mortem is due to take place tomorrow (11 December) at St Georges Hospital.
DCI Nick Scola, leading the investigation, said:
"We're currently at an early stage in our enquiries, and are keeping an open mind about the circumstances of this man's death. I would ask anyone who was in the area last night or in the early hours of this morning and saw or heard anything suspicious to get in touch with us."
