Man Hunt for Driver Charged With Causing Garratt Lane Crash

A 22-year-old man facing a charges over a collision which took place in Wandsworth earlier this year has failed to appear in court.

The charges relate to a road traffic collision at Garratt Lane on the morning of Tuesday, 21 July after which three people including two police officers were taken to major trauma centres. An air ambulance was sent to the incident.

The police say their unmarked vehicle was on ‘enquiry duties’ in the area when the crash occurred.

Ridwan Ali, whose last known address is Northwick Road, Wembley, is wanted by police for failing to appear at Kingston Crown Court on Friday, 30 October to answer two charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

A warrant for Ali's arrest was issued by the court when he failed to appear and detectives at the Met’s South West Command Unit are appealing to the public for information to find his whereabouts.
