The Wandsworth Business Awards recognise the efforts of local businesses, their employees, and their customers. These free-to-enter awards organised by the Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce provide a professional endorsement that can assist in distinguishing a company within the local market.

The Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce was established over 50 years ago and continues to advocate for the local business community. The borough currently hosts more than 20,000 businesses, the vast majority of which are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

In collaboration with the Wandsworth Council, the Chamber organises these awards to promote local businesses. The 2025 event saw 191 entries, reflecting the high level of participation within the borough.

In the 2025 awards Putney-based Assael Architecture was the recipient of the Best Large Business award. Other winners included Chocolate Films, which won the Best Creative Sector Business category, and Soma Yoga Studio, which received the Health and Wellbeing Award.

In the hospitality and retail sectors, Jefferson’s Ice Cream was named the Best Independent Hospitality Business. Putney-based establishments such as Octagreen Putney and Home SW15 were also noted for their involvement and contributions to the local economy.

To be eligible for entry, the business owner must be based within the Wandsworth Borough. The application process is structured to ensure a thorough assessment of all candidates.

Applicants are permitted to submit only one application form. On this form, a business may select up to three categories for entry. It is advised that categories are chosen carefully to align with the business's specific strengths.

Certain awards require answers to specific, compulsory questions. It is recommended that applicants prepare their responses offline before accessing the digital entry form, as new forms cannot be accepted once a submission is finalized.

The submission system allows for the inclusion of a maximum of two photographs to illustrate the business's operations or achievements.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.

We've always done that and won't be changing, in fact we'd like to do more.

However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them. Our financial resources are limited and the local media environment is intensely competitive so there is a constraint on what we can do.

We are therefore asking our readers to consider offering financial support to these efforts. Any money given will help support community and public interest news and the expansion of our coverage in this area.

If neither of these amounts is suitable for you then contact info@neighbournet.com and we can set up an alternative. All payments are made through a secure web site.

One-off donations are also appreciated. Choose The Amount You Wish To Contribute.

If you do support us in this way we'd be interested to hear what kind of articles you would like to see more of on the site – send your suggestions to the editor.

For businesses we offer the chance to be a corporate sponsor of community content on the site. For £30 plus VAT per month you will be the designated sponsor of at least one article a month with your logo appearing if supplied. If there is a specific community group or initiative you'd like to support we can make sure your sponsorship is featured on related content for a one off payment of £50 plus VAT.
