Paul White, Cabinet Member for Environment, said, “Wandsworth in Bloom is about more than flowers. It’s about local pride, creativity and connecting with their community. In this special year as London Borough of Culture, we want to celebrate the people who make our borough greener, more colourful and more welcoming through gardening.”

“You don’t need a big garden or a lot of experience, just passion and a bit of imagination. Gardening helps build a sense of community and pride in our streets, and we want everyone to get involved, whether it’s a business, a school, at street, or a resident with a balcony box of blooms.”

The competition is free to enter and open to everyone. All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges including local gardening experts, with winners announced at a special celebration event.

The deadline for entries is Monday 30 June 2025, and judging will take place in July.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
