Wandsworth Property Sales - April 2012
Average price rebounds to over half a million pounds
During the month of April 2012, 99 homes changed hands in the SW18 post code area at an average price of £539,389 according to figures from the Land Registry.
This represents a recovery for price levels in the local area which had fallan below half a million earlier in the year.
Six of those properties sold for over £1,000,000, with the most expensive of those going for £1,994,000 on Herondale Avenue.
The April data from Land Registry's flagship House Price Index shows an annual price decrease of 1% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £160,417.
London remains the best performing area in the country with prices rising by 5.1% to £360,721 over the same period.
The most up-to-date figures available show that, the number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in February 2012 decreased by 3 per cent to 462 from 478 in February 2011.

The numbers below are subject to revision as is it usual that some properties are added late to the Land Registry's database.
