The UK's leading rib and burger joint, Chicago Rib Shack, is thrilled to be launching a new Shack in South London as part of the increasingly popular Southside Shopping Centre, one of three new Chicago Rib Shack's due to open this year.

Southside is a great location – fusing the concepts of the modern street food market and placing local and global brands side by side, to create a unique shopping and dining destination. Chicago Rib Shack is the latest experience to land at Southside.

The team at Chicago Rib Shack are just crazy about their ribs! So crazy, in fact, that on launch day (Friday 25th May, from 17.00 – 20.00 all ribs will cost just one penny! And they mean exactly that – a £0.1p penny piece!

The campaign for launching this iconic venue in Southside is all about digging out that horrible lose change in the bottom of your purse/wallet/moneybox and paying with a 1 penny! No other change will be accepted!

That's not all. The day will also see the launch of the ‘Baby Back Challenge' a competition to find the fastest person to eat two racks of baby ribs. The challenge will have an official ‘referee' and each participant will have their time recorded on the ‘Challenge Board'. Cost for entry is £25 and includes two full potions of baby-back ribs and complimentary soft drinks.

As well as the special launch day offer, the team are truly celebrating their larger than life love for all things Rib Shack by offering 25% off the menu for the first week only with vouchers from selected media outlets (WandsworthSW18.com and Wandsworth Guardian) It promises to be an exciting week with Chicago Rib Shack cooking up a storm for rib fans of all ages.

Guests will not need a reservation to enjoy world-class tender, thickly coated BBQ ribs, giant stacked burgers, soft pulled-pork and delicious cocktails. Along with our tasty meats including beef, chicken and lamb; Chicago Rib Shack prides itself on its excellent veggie and vegan options including our BBQ Pulled Jackfruit all of which is heading to Croydon!

And the chefs at Chicago Rib Shack HQ have been busy creating new dishes exclusive to Southside. Customers will get to sample the brand-new Big Mic Burger, a giant double beef burger - seasoned & smoked on the grill and served with some sweet potato fries. There's also a whole new menu honouring “loaded” fries and our very original Cheesecake-on-a-stick for dessert: chilled, dipped & topped your way!
