Wandsworth Hailed As Prime Property Hotspot

Bankers' bonuses set to target SW18 in Spring-time buying bonanza

Now that central London has become too pricy even for wealthy city workers, Wandsworth has been earmarked as a desirable property location according to daily business newspaper City AM.

Top end estate agents Savills claim that Central London has become the land of the super rich, and that even London bankers cannot compete with Russian or Chinese buyers.

Four areas have now been earmarked for major attention during bonus spring-time property hunting. Three – Petersfield, Chipstead and Canterbury – are in the Home Counties and require a commute, but Wandsworth comes up trumps with its central location and excellent housing stock.

City Am claims: “This once unassuming district of London has morphed into a property hotspot, luring well-heeled professionals south of the river with the promise of sturdy, red brick period properties, chichi boutiques and the lowest council tax in the country. Central London is on the doorstep, with trains from Wandsworth Town to Waterloo taking 15 minutes plus the exciting option of a river bus to Blackfriars.”
