In pre-war Germany, Helga prepares to send Eva, her only child, to England to escape the Nazi persecution of Jews.
In present day suburban England, middle-aged Evelyn prepares for her daughter Faith to move away from home for the first time.
As Eva’s journey progresses and Evelyn’s story is revealed we learn how their lives are interwoven, leading to an emotional confrontation between past and present.
The July production from New Stagers is a moving drama about separation, the breaking of bonds - particularly those between mothers and daughters - and the ties we all have to the past.
