Pat Langley is the Borough’s ‘Mr Trees’. He heads a team responsible for most of the 15,000 ‘public’ trees we have – on our streets, in parks, on housing estates and even in school grounds. We are very lucky to have him coming to talk. Bring any questions you have and put them to him.
How can you go about getting more trees on your street?
What can you do if a tree dies or is vandalised?
Can residents plant flowers around the base of street trees?
Why should we worry about trees anyway?
What about the Mayor of London’s tree planting schemes?
Could fruit and nut trees have a place?
These are just some of the questions Pat will be happy to field.
Our AGM will precede this talk at 6.30pm.
Do please come in time for the AGM. Our Chair will report on the past year’s activities. We need to elect our Committee for this year. And we all need to put forward our ideas as to what our priority activities during 2012 should consist of.
SEE YOU THERE. Please let Susie or Robert know whether or not you can come.
