Bus Crashes Into Sainsbury's Garratt Lane

No 28 collides with road sweeper but nobody injured

A double-decker bus crashed into the front of Sainsbury's yesterday (Sunday) morning at 10.45, leaving its front badly mangled and its windscreen smashed.

It is thought that the bus ran off the road and into the store entrance after colliding with a road sweeper.

Nobody was injured, either on the bus or off it, although the area was full of shoppers. Garratt lane had to be closed for several hours while police investigated.
