Shooting Star CHASE Children's Charity Wins Queen's Award


And presents an action packed line-up of summer activities

Shooting Star CHASE, the children's hospice service caring for families with a child or teenager not expected to reach their 19th birthday, yesterday won The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, becoming the first ever children's hospice service to do so. The award is the MBE for groups of volunteers who work in their local community for the benefit of others.

And now, with summer upon us, there are some great local activities coming up over the next few months in support of the award winning charity

Asics British 10k run is an annual event, bringing together thousands of people on a route through central London. You can take part in this memorable event whilst raising vital funds to support children and teenagers with a life-limiting condition in your area. Email events@shootingstarchase.org.uk

St Dunstan’s Open Golf Fun Day – A Texas Scramble at Sunbury Golf Club, Charlton Lane, Sunbury. Teams teeing off between 5.30pm-6.30pm on the small 9 hole golf course.  Meal & Prizes will follow with entertainment from ‘Why Not Now’ barbershop singers. Email fundraising@shootingstarchase.org.uk
