The Pump House Gallery is back at Southside Shopping Centre for its annual festive workshop at a pop up next to Cineworld. Drop in from 11am – 5pm and get into the Christmas spirit by creating a toy workshop with artist Matthew Kay. 

On Saturday 29th November, there will be a host of Christmas activities at Southside Shopping Centre, including a lantern procession at 4pm. Based by Cineworld, the Pump House gallery will be making work inspired by Victorian mechanical toys and other moving toys.  Called Automata, this traditional Victorian toy transforms objects into moving, animated characters. Drop in and create your own puppet, and watch it come to life when it is added to our large scale Automata machine. Alongside this, experiment with animations and other Victorian toys.

Free Drop in workshops for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult
