Last Chance To Enter PhotoWandsworth Competition

Get your entry in by next Friday

Wandsworth residents have just a week left to enter this year's photography competition - photoWANDSWORTH.

Prizes include a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS33 digital camera, five Lomography cameras, photography lecture and workshop tickets plus professional prints of the winning entries.

The council's contest, now in its twenty-first year, is open to all non-professional photographers who live, work or study in the borough. This year’s theme is Magic and the deadline for entries is January 28th.

This year's judging panel - which consists of photojournalist Jenni Rickets, photographer Ellen Perrier, and tutor at the Royal College of Art, Stuart Croft - are looking for unique, imaginative entries, which capture magical images of everyday scenes, as well as experimental pictures.

Wandsworth Council's arts spokesman Cllr Sarah McDermott said:
"Over the last 20 years we've had some truly exceptional entries and I'm excited to see how this batch will measure up.

"It's a terrific challenge for budding amateurs and a great reason for anyone with a camera to get out and explore the borough."

The winners will be announced at a prizegiving event on March 3 and there will be an exhibition of this year's best entries.
Competition categories include:
First prize Overall Winners
Young Person's Prize for people 25 and under
Group prize - for photos submitted by groups of people
