New Young's Pub For Nine Elms

Latest venture for brewery with decades of local connections

The Nine Elms Tavern has now opened at Riverlight, the St James development east of Battersea Power Station.

The new pub includes an 'upper deck' with views of the river, and a large outdoor terrace as well as the main bar area. It offers the full selection of Young's beers, craft beers, fine wines and an extensive food menu.

Alongside the newly opened pub, Riverlight is home to Studio RCA, a Royal College of Art public exhibition space, as well as a pocket park and a new stretch of accessible riverside. A restaurant will open on the site later this year as well as a crèche, a Sainsbury’s and a cafe.

Retail Director at Young’s pubs, Patrick Dardis, said, “We're delighted to have opened our latest pub in Nine Elms. Wandsworth has been home to Young’s since 1831 and we're proud to be playing a part in establishing this new part of the borough.”

“It’s also fantastic news that Young’s is among the first businesses to come and take a stake in the new Nine Elms. This company has been a big part of life in Wandsworth since the mid-1800s and their arrival here encapsulates the area’s revival.”

Sean Ellis, Chairman and Managing Director of St James, said, “We're very proud of what we've achieved here at Riverlight. The Nine Elms Tavern is great new venue for the area and will help encourage Londoners to come and explore this new part of the South Bank.”

Wandsworth residents who want to find work or training in Nine Elms can contact the council’ Work Match employment team. Many roles are reserved for local people to ensure borough residents are first to benefit from the area’s growth.
