Tesfa Campbell stabbed to death in Battersea last Wednesday
A man has been charged with the murder of 40-year-old Tesfa Campbell.
37-year-old Jerome Bailey of Greenock Road, Streatham, SW16, was charged on Monday, 8 July after appearing in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court
Mr Campbell who was from Croydon, was found with stab injuries on Latchmere Road, Battersea, at around 2:45pm, on Wednesday, 3 July after police responded to reports of a fight taking place.
He was taken to hospital where he sadly died of his injuries later that evening.
A post-mortem examination on Friday, 5 July, gave cause of death as a single stab wound to the abdomen.
On the morning of, Sunday, 7 July, officers arrested Bailey on suspicion of murder.
Three other people have been arrested in connection with the investigation.
A 26-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed to a day in early August.
A 23-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released under investigation.
