As A3/Upper Richmond Road junction down to one lane for three weeks
The next stage of the Upper Richmond Road major gas main replacement has now started and is casuing local traffic problems.
As well as the existing westbound closure of Upper Richmond Road, the works now require the northbound closure of West Hill at the junction with Upper Richmond Road.
Three-way two-phase temporary traffic signals are iin operation, allowing northbound traffic in West Hill to run through the junction on the southbound carriageway.
The eastbound bus stop at Galveston Road is now contributing to the traffic delays so unfortunately is now closed for the duration of the work at the West Hill junction, which will take approximately 3 weeks. There appears to be no potential for a temporary bus stop.
The previous bus stop at Manfred Road remains open. Passengers at Galveston Road will be directed back to Manfred Road, or forward to the Wandsworth Museum.
