Eddie Catz Putney will be closing its doors on 25 November but the Earlsfield and Wimbledon branches are to stay open. The group says that "after 13 years, 15,000 birthday parties, 1.5 million customers, half a million cups of coffee, and about 30,000 Eddie visits it’s time for us to say goodbye to Putney High Street".

Eddie Catz was founded in 2005 and is a privately owned company.

The kids play centre says, "Thank you to all our customers for putting smiles on our faces, celebrating birthdays with us, dancing with Eddie and making our jobs so much fun!"

We have asked the company to comment on the decision to close the Putney branch which is located on the site which Halfords left this summer.
