53 year old woman arrested on suspicion of drink driving
Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Wandsworth.
Officers were called at 00:40hrs
on Saturday January 18th to East Hill close to the junction with Alma Road, following reports of a vehicle in collision with two pedestrians.
London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended. A man and a woman both in their 40s were taken to a south London hospital.
The man remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition, the woman is also in hospital but her life is not endangered.
Officers believe that there was a third person on the pedestrian crossing at the time of the collision and are particularly keen to speak with them.
The 53-year-old female driver stopped at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of drink drive. She was taken to a south London police station and later bailed pending further enquiries.
