Dogs Rescued From Wandsworth Fire

Two dogs were led to safety by fire crew

Firefighters led two dogs to safety following a fire in a block of flats on Kingham Close in Wandsworth yesterday afternoon (April 13th).

Part of a four roomed flat in the three storey block was damaged by the blaze. Crews made sure the dogs were secure in a safe part of the flat while they put the small fire out. Once the fire was extinguished the dogs were led to safety. No people were involved and the dogs were uninjured.

The Brigade was called just after noon and the fire was under control by 1.20pm. Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers from Wandsworth, Tooting and Battersea fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
