Southside Shopping Centre taken over by Brazilian music

A video of a flashmob taking over the Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth has attracted nearly 2 million views on Facebook after it was shared over 54,000 times.

It shows how a group of musicians, most of whom were children took over the arcade to play Brazilian music to the surprise and delight of shoppers.

The video features students at the World Heart Beat Academy in Wandsworth. After it was noticed by social media users in Brazil the video went viral with many delighted to see their native music being performed in London.

The song performed is Cidade Maravilhosa composed in 1935 by André Filho for the carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
