Brave Shopkeeper Stands Up to Knife Wielding Robber

A man who brandished a knife at in a mini mart on Battersea Park Road had to make do with small change when the member of staff he was threatening refused to give him the contents of the till.

The robbery, which took place at the Imran Mini Market on Battersea Park Road on 17 June, was captured on CCTV which police have now released in an attempt to identify the man with the knife.

The robbery was committed at 11.20pm when CCTV footage from within the shop shows a man walk in brandishing a knife in his right hand before threatening a 37-year-old member of staff behind the counter.

The staff member refused to hand over any cash, so the suspect went behind the counter and grabbed the coins left on top of the till before running out of the shop.

The suspect [ref: 216810] is described as a medium built white man, aged in his twenties. He was wearing a grey hooded Adidas tracksuit top, black trousers and white trainers. Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man shown in the footage.
