Two Women Injured By Hit and Run Driver in Wandsworth

A 28-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being hit by a car on Wandsworth High Street on Sunday (12 March).
The collision occurred near the junction with Wandsworth Plain at about 1am. A second woman, also aged 28 received minor injuries as a result of the collision.
The driver - who was in a dark coloured car - failed to stop at the scene and continued along Wandsworth Plain.
The collision occurred outside the Grand Union pub and may have been witnessed by a number of people who were leaving to go home.
Detectives from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or saw a dark coloured car speeding away from the area.
