Overturned Vehicle Leads to Morning Traffic Chaos
Serious collision on Wandsworth High Street leading to closure of road
Significant traffic disruption is occurring this morning in Wandsworth dues to the closure of Wandsworth High Street westbound. A 'serious collision' took place earlier resulting in the road being shut between Buckhold Road and Putney Bridge Road. A car is reported to have overturned opposite Nat West bank after hitting a lamp post.
Traffic in queuing back to East Hill and tailbacks are stretching beyond Trinity Road. Merton Road is also slow southbound and Garratt Lane is at a standstill northbound. West Hill has been closed southbound up to Tibbet's Corner and the surrounding streets are congested.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
Bus routes 37 170 220 270 337 485 are subject to diversion.
