The Art Of Medicine

Part of a programme of free events from St George's Hospital

'The Art of Medicine' is an effort by St George's to foreground the cross-section between science, medicine and the humanities for members of the public. The overall aim of the programme is to make the hospital a friendlier place for people in the local community.

This event is called 'Self-Portrait without Breasts' and is on Monday 25 November at 6pm. It's based on poet Clare Best's journey through preventive double mastectomy and how artistic expression helped her recover.
