Mother arrested on suspicion of murder in Killarney Road

Inquiries are underway after the death of two children in Wandsworth. Police were called to an address in Killarney Road, SW18 at 19:25hrs on Wednesday 9th May.

The London Ambulance Service also attended but a 10-week-old boy and a 14-month-old girl were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their mother, Canadian born Felicia Boots, was arrested on suspicion of murder. She is currently in custody at a south London police station. Detectives from the Child Abuse Investigation Command are leading the investigation, and inquiries continue into the full circumstances of the incident.

Mrs Boots is in her 30s and a trained hairdresser, but recently started up her own jewellery company. She and her husband, an investment banker, are understood to have move from Canada to the UK several years ago and completed their purchase of the house in Killarney Road in the last couple of weeks.

Post-mortem examinations will take place in due course. Next of kin are aware.
