Polling Cards For May 7th Now Being Delivered

For voting in the General Election and Earlsfield By-election

Wandsworth residents registered to vote in the Parliamentary and Earlsfield Ward by-election on Thursday May 7 will have their poll cards delivered by April 6.

Every eligible resident on the electoral register will receive a white poll card confirming information about the election of a member of parliament for the constituency of Battersea, Putney or Tooting.

European Union citizens (other than British, Irish, Cypriot and Maltese) are not eligible to vote in Parliamentary elections and so will not receive a white poll card.

However all EU citizens registered to vote in the Earlsfield Ward can vote in the by-election taking place in this area. All eligible electors for this election will receive a separate, yellow poll card for this election.

The poll cards will also remind residents who have not yet registered under the new registration system (Individual Electoral Registration) that they need to take action to update their information on the register. This will enable them to vote by post or proxy.

Any residents that have not registered should go to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote straight away to complete an application. The deadline to do this is midnight on Monday 20 April.

If you have any questions about your poll card, visit www.wandsworth.gov.uk/vote or email electoral@wandsworth.gov.uk
