In aid of the Battersea Arts Centre's Phoenix Fund
In March this year, a fire devastated the Great Hall of Battersea Arts Centre. Since then the local community has begun to find ways to help this important institution get back on its feet and begin the long process of rebuilding.
You are invited to come and join the specially created Battersea Phoenix Choir and by raising your voice, raise money for BAC’s Phoenix Fund.
On Sunday 14th June, the choir, including members of Thomas’s Choral Society will perform Handel’s Messiah in a special one-off performance under Music Director, Sam Evans. The choir will be joined by a professional orchestra and soloists from the National Opera Studio.
This is a weekend event with rehearsal and workshops on Saturday 13th June at Sacred Heart Church, Trott Street, followed by rehearsal and performance on Sunday 14th June in the beautiful Church of the Ascension, Lavender Hill.
Bring your own or let them know by email to batterseamessiah@gmail.com and they will hire one for you at a cost of £3.00
