Man's Ear Bitten Off Outside Putney Night Club


Police appeal for witnesses to attack on High Street

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an attack that left a man with the top of his ear bitten off. 

On Saturday 11 April at around 9.50pm, a 29-year-old man was assaulted outside a club on Putney High Street. The victim was involved in an altercation with another man and during the incident the suspect bit off the top inch of the victim's ear.

London Ambulance Service attended and took the injured man to a central London hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, especially a woman in her twenties, to come forward. She is described as having long straight dark brown hair, a brown leather jacket and blue jeans.

The suspect is described as of Asian appearance, aged 28-35 and wearing a dark brown suit. He had a shaved head and a beard.

Detective Constable David Richardson, who is leading the investigation for Wandsworth CID said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this assault on 11 April.

"It was a busy time of the evening and I am appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident to come forward. At one point the suspect was placed in a head lock which people may have witnessed.

"We will treat all information in the strictest confidence."
