15,000 visitors are expected at Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE 2011, the UK’s largest family history show. The event is a one-stop-genealogy-shop where visitors can discover the landscape of their past guided by over 200 exhibitors; ranging from The Society of Genealogists and The National Trust to The Royal Artillery Museums and Family Tree DNA.
Tony Robinson, star of Time Team, will discuss how the 1911 Census can be used to piece together your family tree.

Monty Don, writer and green fingers presenter of BBC’s Gardeners’ World, will share fascinating discoveries from his own past.

Eric Knowles, ceramics expert on the Antique Roadshow, will help visitors identify family treasures handed down through generations.

Hugh Quarshie, actor, will appear on Saturday 26th February and Ainsley Harriott, TV personality on Sunday 27 February.

Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE 2011, sponsored by Ancestry.co.uk and The Telegraph, is the UK’s largest family history show taking place at London’s Olympia from 25 – 27 February 2011.

The event is a one-stop-genealogy-shop where visitors can discover the landscape of their past guided by over 200 exhibitors; ranging from The Society of Genealogists and The National Trust to The Royal Artillery Museums and Family Tree DNA.

From seasoned researchers to beginners starting out on their voyage of discovery, guests can uncover the lives of their ancestors. Celebrity speakers, including television presenter and horticulturalist, Monty Don, will be on hand to recount tales from their own past. Tony Robinson will also appear, courtesy of Ancestry.co.uk, to discuss the 1911 Census and how it can be used to piece together your family tree

What’s on offer?

Celebrity lectures	Monty Don, Hugh Quarshie, Ainsley Harriott and Tony Robinson will give talks on their incredible discoveries.  Family history enthusiast and star of Time Team, Tony Robinson will also be on hand courtesy of Ancestry.co.uk to offer his amusing and inimitable take on history
The Ancestry.co.uk Academy	Ancestry.co.uk will be running a programme of workshops exploring how to take your searches further, where to find the clues in records or even just where to start.  Guest speakers include Russell James, Dan Jones and Nick Barratt
DNA workshopSupported by Family Tree DNA ( www.familytreedna.com)	Although it is a relatively new tool, DNA testing is now used to confirm family ties where no conventional record exists.  Renowned international experts will discuss how to apply the latest advances in genetics to help piece together a family tree
Beginner’s Workshop in partnership with Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine	Experts from Who Do You Think You Are? magazine will offer advice to those launching their voyage of discovery
Military Pavilion supported by the Army Museums Ogilby Trust	Experts and curators of the UK’s leading military institutions, including the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and RAF Museum, help visitors uncover ancestors and identify military artefacts
Ask the Experts	Tackle obstacles in research during a one-to-one session with an experienced genealogist
The Society of Genealogists Family History Show sponsored by TheGenealogist.co.uk	Family history societies throughout the UK will gather offering specialist and localised knowledge.  The Society of Genealogists will also be running over 100 workshops to suit both beginners and experienced researchers.  There will be classes on how to tackle a brick wall and sessions dedicated to specialist topics including Irish Ancestry and Jewish Roots.

Advance tickets are priced £20* for adults and £5* for children (aged 5-15).  Under 5s go free.

Two day tickets for Friday and Saturday OR Friday and Sunday are available priced £25. 

*Advance tickets are subject to a £2 fee per transaction. Standard tickets are available on the door priced £22 for adults and £6 for children.
