Is Your Child Moving into Key Stage Stage 2?
Parent Information Event:‘Managing the Transition into Key Stage 2’Tuesday 20 May, 19:00 – 20:00In September 2014, Wandsworth Prep will enter an exciting phase of continued expansion as we open the doors to our first Year 3 Class. Children experience a number of transitions during their educational career and as a school we recognise the importance of ensuring a smooth transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2, both socially and academically. We will be hosting an information evening for any interested parents within our local community whose children are currently in Year 2 either in the maintained or independent sectors. The event will take place at Wandsworth Preparatory School on Tuesday 20 May from 19:00 – 20:00.The information evening will provide parents with an opportunity to:• Learn how WPS will support the transition into Key Stage 2 at Year 3• Learn how WPS will prepare pupils for 11+ and future schools• Meet our Year 3 teacher• See the Year 3 classroom and examples of what our curriculum looks like in practiceTo register your attendance, please contact Fiona Heath on 0208 870 4133 or office@wandsworthprep.com.This event is open to the parents of children who will be joining us in Year 3 in September 2014 as well as other interested parties.
