Do you want to make a difference in the lives of people in your community facing mental ill health?
Battersea Befriending Network is looking for compassionate volunteers to join our team and provide friendship and support to people with mental health issues.
Our befriending program is seeking compassionate individuals to provide friendship and support to people across the whole borough of Wandsworth who are facing mental health challenges and isolation. By spending just a few hours each fortnight, volunteers can make a real difference in someone's life.
Through our befriending service, you will be matched with a befriendee who shares your interests. You will then meet with them regularly for social activities and companionship.
As a befriender, volunteers have the opportunity to:
Build lasting relationships
Learn new skills, including those sought after in the mental health, community and counselling sectors
Gain a sense of fulfillment and connection with others.
With our comprehensive training, supervision, and wellbeing resources, volunteers will be well-equipped to offer invaluable support.
This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us today at volunteering@batterseabefriendingnetwork.org.uk or leave a message on 0759 990 6847.
