Southside

It would seem that Southside is being hit by the same curse that has affected Putney Exchange and many others. Trespass (the mountain wear people), Cath Kidson, the man Games place, Pizza Storm and (I gather) Byron Burgers either have closed or are about to close down. Argos has moved to Sainsburys and there is an empty unit by Robert Dyas. I know Argos were taken over by Sainsburys and Byron have problems of their but it's a worrying trend.

As I understand it the freeholders jacked up rents to an unaffordable level - s presumably this is as leases have to be renewed.  The same sort of thing is happening at Clapham Junction.  Small shops just cannot afford to exist.  Sad.
