Help a child in Putney or Wandsworth read in 2020

Try something new and help a child in Putney learn to read!
On average 8 children in each class in England left primary school last year unable to read well, whilst 1 in 8 children from disadvantaged backgrounds don’t have a single book at home.

By volunteering at a school in Putney twice a week you can give a child who is struggling to read essential one-to-one support. During 30-minute sessions, you can help a child, age 5 – 8, develop their skills, extend their vocabulary and find enjoyment in books, whilst using the Bookmark app to connect with your nearest school and choose sessions at times that suit you.
